Service Roundup – JetBlue and Southwest Expand

  • JetBlue announced the return of Boston to San Jose, California service on May 13th. Service will be once daily.
  • Jetblue is also adding service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from both New York-JFK and Boston’s Logan Airport. Daily service from New York will begin on May 6th and Saturday-only service will begin on May 8th.
  • Southwest announced its schedule for Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport(ECP) in Panama City Beach, FL,  with twice daily service to the following cities: Nashville, Houston Hobby, Baltimore/Washington, Orlando.
  • Southwest also opened its schedule for travel from May 9th through August 13th, 2010. As part of this, they’ve added additional service for the season, such as: Nonstops between Nashville and Oakland and between Norfolk and Las Vegas, and transcontinental nonstops between Baltimore/Washington and Los Angeles. They are also adding their first-ever Baltimore/Washington-Seattle nonstop service. St. Louise is getting eight new nonstop markets- Los Angeles, San Diego, Raleigh/Durham, New Orleans, and Nashville. They’ve promised there is more coming.
