JetBlue to Offer Unlimited Pass

By | August 12, 2009

JetBlue will be offering an unlimited pass to fly from September 8th through October 8th, for $599. The pass has the following conditions:

  • On sale till August 21st, or while supplies last. So a limited number will be sold
  • Includes all domestic taxes and fees. International and Puerto Rico taxes and fees not included.
  • Reservations must be made 3 days in advance of travel
  • You may only book one flight per city per day…so much for day trips to Boston and Washington.
  • Changes within 3 days of flight standard change fees apply, outside free of charge.
  • In the event of a no-show, any reserved pass flights will be canceled, and no new segments may be booked till a $100 no-show penalty is paid.
  • Pass is eligible for 35 TrueBlue Points.
  • All purchases, reservations, and changes by phone.

Now, the deal has its pros and cons, especially the no-show policy, which seems unnecessarily harsh. The freezing of flight till penalty is paid is understandable, but canceling all reservations? That seems harsh is it was beyond the passenger’s control. Hopefully they will be understanding. If you fly a lot though, or plan to in September-October, this is a great offer.
