Homeland Security Opens an Office on Sesame Street

By | September 23, 2008

When it comes time to secure the Homeland, who better to call than Grover? The Department of Homeland Security has partnered with Sesame Street and the Children’s Television Workshop to teach children about creating family preparedness plans in case of emergencies.

“I, your furry, blue friend Grover, have a story to share. Are you wondering what it is about? I will give you an itty-bitty hint: It is about getting ready for emergencies! Oh boy, that was a big hint. Do you want to get ready, too? You do? Oh, I am so pleased. Then read this story with me, and let us get ready together!”

Next, we predict Cookie Monster will be showing people how to be patted down and wanded for milk he carries in excess of 3oz to wash his cookies down.
