Security Update

By | August 11, 2006

Our contacts at various airlines report individuals have been misinformed about the current security restrictions put in place effective this morning. So, a quick review.

1. You are advised to minimize the amount of carry-on luggage you carry with you. Many carriers are allowing you to check your carry-on bags in addition to your normal checked baggage allotments.

2. Please arrive early as security checkpoints will be conducting extra screening.

3. Liquids and gels are banned. That includes beverages, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Such items will be confiscated at security checkpoints and any such items purchased in the terminal will not be allowed onboard.

4. Currently, only passengers departing from airports in the United Kingdom have been barred from carrying any items onboard. This only applies to outbound flights, not flights heading to the UK. For passengers departing the U.K., no carry-on items will be permitted except your necessary travel documents, essential medications, wallet, and keys.
