New Mexico Cuts off Two More Airlines

By | February 7, 2007

Frontier and Northwest Airlines have been issued cease and desist orders on the serving of alcohol on flights to and from New Mexico. This follows an earlier order against US Airways, issued after its lack of state license was discovered during an investigation, as we mentioned last week. US Airways has filed an application for such a license.  Frontier continues to deny the state has the legal right to control their liquor sales, but has complied with the order.

New Mexico’s goal is to ensure any flight into the state complies with the same laws as any bar or restaurant in the state in serving alcohol.
