ExpressJet Has My Money

In a comment to a previous post on the Contract of Carriage of ExpressJet, the following was posted by Cecil Guerrero:

I have vouchers worth $390 and I cannot take a flight anywhere! All flights are suspended. Can someone help me get a refund? I canceled flight to Spokane and was not informed flights to other cities would be canceled. Help!

Now, Cecil, if the airline ceases operation, they owe you, in our opinion, a refund of the unused value of any vouchers, less any administration fees they would have charged you to use it. Fortunately, ExpressJet has not gone bankrupt, merely cease operations, so there is someone to go after.

You can request a refund by calling ExpressJet at 1-888-958-XJET and ask for it. We checked. The number still works. Or try emailing customerrelations@expressjet.com. If they refuse, you can attempt to recoup your money in small claims court. It seems to have worked for some people.

Cecil, drop us a line to tell us how it went. We love to hear stories.
