  • American Airlines announced service from New York’s JFK Airport to St Kitts and Nevins..which they describe as a twin island paradise. Service will start Wednesdays and Sundays effective November 18th…with a Boeing 757 aircraft.
  • American is also recalling 200 flight attendants it furloughed. Former TWA flight attendants, who were the first to be furloughed due to their placement on the American seniority scale after the TWA Acquisition, have been very vocal over their treatment by the carrier.
  • American Airlines also announced service from Austin, Texas to John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Service will begin September 5th, operated by 148-seat Boeing 737-800s. American has been increasing service out of Austin of late.
  • Delta is launching an advertising campaign called “Change,” showcasing Delta’s new logo and its intention to revamp its customer service experience. We look forward to watching their effort to change.
  • US Airways will launch daily service from Philadelphia to Athens on May 26th. A 767 will service the route until October 6th.
  • Expressjet launched service today from Louisville, San Diego, and Raleigh-Durham.
