  • Jetblue is adding Saturday service from Boston to Aruba to complement its JFK service effective June 30th. It will also add service from Boston to San Diego once daily effective June 28th. Connections will be available to its partner, Cape Air.
  • Southwest Airlines will be adding one additional daily nonstop flight between Albuquerque and Dallas as well as Seattle, and between Dallas and New Orleans effective June 4th. Effective June 17th, they will add an additional daily roundtrip between Houston and Tampa Bay as well as Orlando, and a new once daily roundtrip between Norfolk and Tampa Bay.
  • Westjet announced it would boost service from Vancover to replace flights ended by its competitor, Harmony Air. It will add nonstop flights to Toronto next month as well as winter flights to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs in November.
  • Midwest Airlines will upgrade two of the three roundtrips from Milwaukee to Wausau/Stevens Point from 19-seat turboprop to 32-seat regional jets effective June 1st. On July 1st, it will upgrade the remainder of its Milwaukee-Flint flights to these aircraft, as well as four of five roundtrips to Green Bay. All flights from Milwaukee to Hartford will be upgraded from 32 to 50 seater regional jets, and a third daily flight added.
  • Just so we don’t ignore other modes of transport, Amtrak released its new timetable. Amtrak is adding two new weekend Keystone trains between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. The Lake Shore Limited from Chicago to New York and Boston will now be leaving at 10PM to accept more passengers arriving on other trains from the west and south. Two of the three Wolverine Service trains from Chicago to Detroit have new schedules. Carlinville, Illinois is now a flag stop on the Texas Eagle, and will stop when advance notice is given by making reservations or passengers signal from the platform. Most Lincoln Service trains already stop there.
