- American Eagle launched once-daily roundtrip service from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico yesterday using an ATR72 turboprop.
- Frontier Airlines launched nonstop service today to Cabo San Lucas from Sacramento(three flights per week) and San Jose(four flights per week) using A319 aircraft.
- Frontier also launched its new nonstop service from Denver to Hartford last night. It marks Frontier’s return to New England. It previously served Boston from 1997 through 2002.
- Midwest Airlines will be increasing the number of nonstop flights from Kansas City to five cities starting in May and June. Starting May 1st, roundtrip flights to Boston will increase from one to three on weekdays, to Los Angeles will increase from two to three daily, an additional year-round flight to Orlando will begin, and flights to San Diego will increase from one to two daily. On June 1st, they will add a second daily flight to San Francisco. This will increase Midwest’s presence to 37 daily nonstop flights to 15 destinations nationwide. Midwest plans to increase capacity by 20 percent this year, adding six new destinations and twelve routes, and a big chunk will be from Kansas City.
- SkyValue is opening reservations for Summer/Fall flights between Gary Indiana and Mesa Arizona, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Las Vegas. Reservations are available through October 31st.
