Spirit Airlines, following its application to serve Caracas, Venezuela, has filed an application to serve Port-au-Prince, Haiti from its Ft.Lauderdale hub…hoping to start service April 1st. With these two routes, Spirit will be taking on American’s Caribbean and South American service, and bringing low-cost carriers where they have never gone before.
