Survey Says….Phoenix?

By | November 29, 2006

Airtran today announced the airline will be offering new nonstop service between its hub at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta and Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport. Effective February 15, they will operate one daily nonstop, increasing to two a week later. On March 6th, a third flight will begin, with its return beginning the following day.

In last month’s survey, Phoenix, surprisingly won out as the top destination Airtran passengers wanted to see the airline serve. We made our own predictions which failed to come through. We would be interested to see the data on their survey, and what the runners-up were. Either way, Airtran on this route means competition for Delta and US Airways, who currently run the route.
