TAM Launches New Way to Purchase Tickets

By | December 1, 2006

Not long ago, we commented on Air Canada’s innovative simplified ticketing system. Now TAM is launching a new fare platform, five new Fare profiles: Promo, Light, Flex, Max, and Top. Like Air Canada, each level presents clear characteristics and rules so that a passenger can make a choice based on their needs.

We have blasted Ryanair in the past, because they sell a barebones ticket and impose every fee possible on top of it, offering little to no service. We find this different. The payments and benefits are clear. Disclosure and clarity is a positive, as is not tacking on a surcharge for everything. Even at the lowest levels, a certain standard of service is guaranteed.
