Catering to the Customer

The people at JetBlue sent us a lovely message yesterday…

Welcome Big Wigs - JetBlue

We understand it’s not easy being a high flyer these days. The CFO is picking apart your expense reports. Congress is mad about your bonus. And you can’t even hop on a private jet to the Cayman Islands without freaking out the shareholders. But even this economic cloud has a silver lining… actually more of a bluish lining. Because now you get to try JetBlue. Jetting on JetBlue is a lot like on your private jet with a few basic differences.

And so on…It is an amusing attempt to go after business travellers. But hardly the most amusing: In December, in order to get someone to fly Virgin, Richard Branson starting polishing his shoes. Now, there is a way to promote your airline. Branson knows that no one should be afraid to go the extra mile for your customer, not even him.
