Jetblue announced nonstop service between Orlando and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Service will be daily beginning March 6th. Service will be operated by Jetblue’s E190 aircraft.
Delta will offer Saturday seasonal service beginning February 16th from Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado to Atlanta. Delta partner Skywest will operate the flights using CRJ700 regional jets. Seems a bit cramped for such a long flight, but the 700s are nicer than the 200s, which can be even more cramped.
Airtran will be adding service on February 14th between LaGuardia and both Tampa and Daytona Beach, as well as adding a third flight to Orlando. It will bring total service at the airport for Airtran to 19 daily flights, 10 of them to its Atlanta hub.
Qantas is once again offering seasonal service between San Francisco and Vancouver on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 16th through January 27th.
