Service Update – Too Long on a Regional Jet

By | November 14, 2007
  • Jetblue announced nonstop service between Orlando and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Service will be daily beginning March 6th. Service will be operated by Jetblue’s E190 aircraft.
  • Delta will offer Saturday seasonal service beginning February 16th from Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado to Atlanta. Delta partner Skywest will operate the flights using CRJ700 regional jets. Seems a bit cramped for such a long flight, but the 700s are nicer than the 200s, which can be even more cramped.
  • Airtran will be adding service on February 14th between LaGuardia and both Tampa and Daytona Beach, as well as adding a third flight to Orlando. It will bring total service at the airport for Airtran to 19 daily flights, 10 of them to its Atlanta hub.
  • Qantas is once again offering seasonal service between San Francisco and Vancouver on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 16th through January 27th.
  • Expressjet launched new service yesterday.
