Jetblue to Present Customer Bill of Rights

By | February 19, 2007

We are not sure if it is better for the government to regulate the airlines or for the airlines to regulate themselves…popuar opinion varies…but if an airline does hold itself to a standard, we are in favor of it.

Jetblue announced today that it would unveil its own Bill of Rights after its meltdown this week. David Neeleman, CEO of Jetblue, is expected to unveil the document tomorrow, which will “outline both self-imposed penalties and “major” rewards for its passengers if it experiences operational problems and cannot adjust to weather-related cancellations in a “reasonable” amount of time.”

As long as the document is accompanied by operational improvements…we are in favor of it. We will have more after the announcement.
